TEN-T project for the pilot technology REWEC3 in Civitavecchia – 2013-IT-92050-S

Project description

“Study for the development of the green mobility in the port of Civitavecchia through the implementation of the pilot technology REWEC3 - 2013-IT-92050-S” financed by the EU's TEN-T Programme. Partners:Port Authority of Civitavecchia, NOEL of the Università Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria. The main objective of the project is to produce a feasibility study for the reduction of the CO2 emissions associated with the mobility within the Port of Civitavecchia. In this context, one of the 17 REWEC3 caissons under construction in the Port of Civitavecchia, was equipped with one standard Wells turbine, which is not yet optimized for the REWEC3 system, for producing electricity covering the mobility needs of the Port.
